About Sui

Sui is a Layer 1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, founded by former Meta engineers who worked on the Diem (Libra) blockchain project. Launched in 2023, Sui introduces novel approaches to blockchain scalability and user experience, designed from the ground up for mainstream adoption.

How do SUI funding rates work on Hyperliquid?
Funding payments are exchanged between longs and shorts every hour on Hyperliquid. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts. When it is negative, shorts pay longs. Funding is peer to peer, not a platform fee, and is calculated on your full position size.
